So we stopped playing after about 3 hours and we’ve got one more stage left of the 8 bosses until we reach Sigma’s fortress.  Of course, it’s fucking Flame Hyenard.  Ya’know, the guy that screams every 2 seconds, splits himself into three, and rides atop a giant mechanical ox on the middle of a bed of lava.

I’m actually glad I came back to playing this game because it is so much worse than I previously remember it.  I think the difference between 2003 and now is I’m no longer tricking myself into thinking it’s a good, or even tolerable game.  I can literally see this game for the whole mess of crap that it is, and man oh man is it a whole lot of mess.  It’s literally so bad that if not for the playable character models somewhat resembling X and Zero, I wouldn’t even know this is a MegaMan game.  It just….feels so far removed from everything I love.

Even the save menu is a fucking chore for chrissakes.
